Florence Knoll

Studying under Eero Saarinen, Florence Bassett developed her talent for combining form and function to create harmonious interior spaces.  Working for the likes of Marcel Bruer, Wallace Harrison and Walter Gropius, she continued to develop her style, which focused on a “total design” approach, which encompassed a range of principles of design, to instigate a major and fundamental change in interior and furniture design.
