Anna Castelli Ferrieri

1918-2006

Italian born designer, Anna Castelli Ferrieri, began her training, like many midcentury designers, as an architect. The linear, architectural forms and functionality of her pieces clearly reflect her architectural roots. Working with well-known mid-century designers, including Castiglioni and Le Corbusier, Ferrieri was instrumental in introducing plastic as a valid material. She has won numerous awards, including the Compasso d'Oro.
